The Colonsay Lions Club is hosting their 2nd annual ice fishing tournament on Saturday.

Registration begins at 9am, fishing runs from 11am until 3pm.

Organizer Amanda Gardner said last year's tournament was held on the Bradwell Reservoir but they decided to move to a new location this year.

"We decided to move it to Zelma just because it's closer to Colonsay and its where a lot of the locals here go for ice fishing."

Prizes will be awarded to the largest pike caught, second largest pike, and third largest pike, along with prizes for junior fishermen, mystery weight and most fish caught.

The cost is $40 for two holes

"It's just day of registration so you can just show up at 9am, holes are already pre-drilled and you can go out and pick your holes and get ready to go," Gardner explained.

The Lions will also raffle off a 6X8 ice fishing shack at the end of the tournament.

All of the funds raised goes directly into the lions club and organizations they support.
