Warm air is on the way.

That from Environment Canada's John Paul Cragg, who says the cold start to February will soon fizzle out.

"You can expect a warm up next week. It's looking more and more likely that even through this weekend, temperatures are starting to warm up. Chances are next week we will see a warming trend."

Temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday will reach the -20 mark before the warm air slowly starts to move its way in.

Come Monday, it is expected that temperatures will be into the single digit minuses, which is around the norm for early February.
