The temperatures in Humboldt and the surrounding area will venture into some positive numbers for the next two days. With that comes a negative effect to hockey lovers wanting to head to the outdoor for a skate.

The City of Humboldt has asked all citizens to refrain from using the outdoor rink located on 6th Street near St. Dominic School during the daytime of January 3rd and 4th to avoid damage to the ice.

During the evening hours of the two days, when the temperature dips back into the negative, people are open to hit the ice. Temperatures following January 4th should remain in the negative, therefore the outdoor rink will be open for use at all times of the day.
