It wasn't just local Lanigan residents who came out to the bi-annual Lanigan Fall Fantasy Craft and Tradeshow on Saturday.  The show and sale drew in many keen shoppers and attracted vendors from all over the surrounding area who were anxious to get at head start on some Christmas and Holiday shopping this year and to sell their wares.

According to event coordinator, Michelle Hassman, "exhibitors come from well over two hours away to come for the show." She explains that part of the show's success can be attributed to the support received from other neighbouring communities. Each surrounding community picks a different weekend to host their trade show and Hassman explains, "All the supporting communities support each other. We'll have people that will come just to shop (here) because Humboldt's (craft show) was last weekend, so they know they can come to Lanigan this weekend".

Hassman believes the craft and trade show is "a great community event. It's great for our local entrepreneurs as well as people from out of town who come to support". She adds, "It's a great way to come out and support the community."

The Fall Fantasy is one of two yearly craft and trade shows to visit the town of Lanigan. Another similar sale will take place in the spring.
