The Humboldt District Hospital Foundation is hoping to have their wishes granted this holiday season.

At the end of November, the Humboldt District Hospital Foundation (HDHF) sent out letters to all the members on their donor list. The letters consisted of a card with a paper angel inside.

Donors in the area can write their name on the angels and send a monetary donation along with it to the HDHF. The angels are then hung on a Christmas tree in the hospital. The donations are accepted by the HDHF to go towards medical equipment.

Most of the equipment needed for 2018 has been purchased for the hospital. All except for Pixes, which is an automatic drug distribution system. Pixes is a total cost of $270,000 dollars. The HDHF is hoping the Christmas Angels Appeal will close the gap on the price.

"This is a very good fundraiser for the HDHF. It averages between 40 to 50 thousand dollars a year for us, So it's very Beneficial," said Lorrie Bunko, executive director of HDHF.

Last year the appeal raised $55,269.
