With new restrictions put in place by the Saskatchewan government to combat the spread of COVID-19, the City of Humboldt has been forced to alter some of their leisure experiences for residents.

The City of Humboldt released a statement on Wednesday, December 16 that they would be temporarily closing the Aquatic Centre, while reducing the hours at the Uniplex Fitness Centre.

"In response to the Provincial Government’s announcement on Monday, December 14, 2020, extending Public Health Orders to minimize the risk of transmittal of the COVID-19 virus, the City of Humboldt will be taking measures to address the reality of reduced usage of some of the indoor recreation facilities," as stated per the release.

Effective Thursday, December 24, 2020, at 5:00 pm.

  • The Aquatics Centre will be temporarily closed.

Effective January 1, 2021.

  • The Uniplex Fitness Centre hours will be reduced to 6:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday
  • Uniplex Administration hours will be reduced to 6:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

All measures outlined above are expected to remain in effect until January 31st, 2021.

The City of Humboldt is continuing to review how outdoor activities, such as the outdoor rinks and the newly built crokicurl ice surface, can be enjoyed by the public in a safe and compliant fashion.
