Slowly but surely, the healing process is beginning for the community of Humboldt and all those affected by the Broncos bus accident on Friday, April 6th.

The outpouring of support, whether through kind words, financial donations, or through social media, has continued to reach and impact those who are a part of the Humboldt Broncos organization and the community as a whole.

As a whirlwind week rolls along, the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce has been very proud of the way the business community and the city in general has been there for each other and those who are suffering.

"We just has so much, so much happen in such a short period of time and through such a tragedy," stated Chamber Executive Director Stacey Poss on Tuesday. "It's just overwhelming to see and we're so grateful for everybody and what can be accomplished when we come together."

With Humboldt in the provincial, national and international spotlight since Friday, Poss says the leadership showed during the past four days is something the community needs to be proud of.

"It just speaks to the heart of Humboldt for sure. I don't think we were really aware of how close of a community we are until this tragedy had hit," added Poss. "Everybody is really pitching in."

"Very proud of all our local businesses and individuals that have really stepped up and done whatever they could to help out our players, their families and the Broncos organization."

While the path to healing for the community continues, Poss is confident that Humboldt will come out of this stronger than ever.

"This is going to be a tough week with funeral services and the emotional toll that will take," expressed Poss. "It really does speak to the Broncos' organization and the players with their impact on the community."

"But what we have seen with the community of Humboldt, our surrounding communities, our province and our nation...it speaks to the unity that we have here."
