It's said that education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
Last night, 44 students at Carlton Trail College each took home a scholarship. Students were able to take in a great meal and speeches from their peers at the Carlton Trail Award Dinner in Humboldt.
The supper was organized to recognize students for all their hard work. There were three different types of scholarships given out including Early Application Scholarships, Performance Scholarships, and Application Based Scholarships. A total of $36,500 was handed out.
"I think it's important to recognize how important education is and how important it is to contribute to society through education," said Val Koroluk, Marketing Facilitator.
This is the 6th year a formalized award ceremony has been put on by Carlton Trail.
