Cannabis is now legal as of October 17th, but green is still considered mean behind the wheel.

A man out of Guernsey has become the first person ever charged in Humboldt with a crime within the Cannabis act. The RCMP of Humboldt ran a traffic stop on October 24th just before 10 in the morning when the man was caught.

On top of the possession of cannabis, the 32-year-old is also facing one count of cocaine possession, one count of driving an unregistered vehicle, two counts of possession of a dangerous weapon, and five charges against breaching of an undertaking.

Following the arrest of the man, he was taken into custody. He would remain there until his first court appearance in Saskatoon on October 25th.
