There is still a some time for a person to pull out of the upcoming election but as of Thursday morning there are three people vying for the Mayor's chair in Humboldt.

Those three individuals are Event Consultant Harley Bentley, Communications and Marketing Coordinator Rob Muench and Service Advisor Shawn Wempe.

11 citizens have let their names stand for the six council seats including three current seat holders.

They are:

Owen Hopfner-Landscape Maintenance Business Owner
Amanda Klitch-Journeyman Hairstylist
Francis Kunz-Grocery Clerk
Roger Nordick-Retired(Fire Service)
Lorne J. Pratchler-General Manager
Terry Schatz-Warehouse Operations Manager
Sandy Weyland-Retired(LPN)

Under legislation in the Local Government Election Act all candidates have until Thursday at 4 o'clock to withdraw their name.

The election will take place on Wednesday, October 26th.
