Getting your morning coffee, afternoon pick me up or evening fix will help send local kids to camp on Wednesday.

Tim Hortons Camp Day is taking place, where 100% of coffee sales will support the Tim Hortons Camp Foundation.

"Whether that is original, dark roast or decaf, anybody that purchases a coffee will be supporting the program," said Humboldt store owner Dan Grywacheski.

He says that each year, thousands of kids benefit from the foundation, which in turn provides them with lifelong experiences.

"Sending kids to camp year round. This year they are looking at sending around 20,000 kids to camp," said Grywacheski. "The camp experiences provide opportunities for youth to grow and succeed on their own terms and make a positive impact on their community."

Although Tim Hortons is a massive franchise, Grywacheski notes that kids from our area still do benefit and get the same opportunities to attend camp.

"Every year we have sent someone locally from Humboldt. This year they are changing it up where they are sending kids who have been to camp," he explained. "They are focusing on a five-year term with these kids, so we are waiting on some more information on that, but that is their new thought with what they will do with attendance."

In the lead up to Wednesday, the store has been selling bracelets for $2 each. Grywacheski noted that they were close to selling them out ahead of Camp Day.

To generate some more funds, he says they will also be raffling off some items throughout the day in addition to some other plans.
