With their new facility nearing completion, the Calico Gymnastics group held a fundraising barbecue in Civic park today.

Chris Chittick from Tornado Hunters was also on hand to help out with the barbecue.

Carolyn Janidlo MacLean from Calico talks about the support from Chittick.

"It brings in a different clientele, and we're just so happy that the community is behind us and Calico, and our quest for this new building. we're just thankful that he's here supporting us"

Janildo MacLean talks about the progress the new building has made.

"The outer shell is up, the mezzanine was framed so we're waiting for some of the electrical and some of the plumbing stuff to go in so we're right on target thanks to Ray Graff and his team."

Chris Chittick from Tornado Hunters also joined in the fun at Civic Park as well.

He gives us a few details about the truck, dubbed with the name Flash, that's used in the show.

"Flash has plenty of stories to tell. It's a F-150 2015, a bit of a lift put on it, bigger and beefier tires. External roll cage, Line-X material sprayed all around it for bullet-proof purposes, compartmentalized truck bed system, and it's the most ultimate storm chasing vehicle out there.

The event was held to raise funds for the Gymnastics team.
