If you like trade shows, as well as Christmas, the town of Bruno gave a two for one deal on Saturday.

The Bruno Stocking Stuffer crafts show took place the Bruno Community Centre, and the afternoon was filled with local vendors who all brought top-notch items, ranging from artwork to health and beauty products. There was a pancake breakfast, as well the first 100 kids at the event would receive a complimentary treat bag. It was a show of unity amongst town-members and showcased the great benefits of living in a small community such as Bruno.

Vickianne Cafwell, OWNER OF 4 Paws Games and Publishing, was the "everything lady" for the event, was pleased with how the event went. She told us why this was a great event to show outsiders the plus side to living in Bruno. "It's a nice community, it's nice to bring in new people to see Bruno and what it has to offer." Cafwell continued, "Among the many local businesses we actually have a Summer Art Gallery, as well as our publishing business, even though ours is from home."

The proceeds from the kitchen portion of the day were going towards the Bruno Artificial Ice Committee, for next years ice at the rink. Door prizes were done by monetary donation, and proceeds from that were going to the Bruno Friendship Centre. They recently had some water damage, and 4 Paws was hoping to help with the costs of that. Cafwell also noted that while not all treat bags were given out, she still will donate them to Bruno Christmas Cheer.

There was around 200 in attendance on the afternoon. There was also Santa visits for the kids, and there were over 40 local vendors with items for sale. The event was a success and really shows why living in a small town really instills a community-based mindset.
