We knew all the winners in the Humboldt Broncos 22nd annual Lottery of Cash on Saturday, now the grand prize winners have their money.

On Monday night, Watrous residents Bob and Marilyn Wignes picked up their cheque for $100,000 from President Jamie Brockman.

After the draws on Saturday, Brockman made the calls but unfortunately the Wignes' weren't home at the time.

"I was pretty pumped, I didn't even press play," Marilyn said during the photo opportunity. "I just speed dialled the phone and called back and then I heard, I was pretty pumped."

She didn't know which prize they had won until she was able to talk to someone. It just so happened it turned out to be the grand prize.

"It's still unbelievable," Bob added. "It's something you dream about, it couldn't have come at a better time for us. Retirement here now, that will help a lot."

The Wignes' have been big supporters of both the lottery and the team for many years as Bob explained.

"Humboldt is almost a hometown to us, we do a lot of work in Humboldt here and I used to come to hockey games all the time a few years ago before we started taking Winter holidays. We enjoy the hockey."

Brockman was happy to be able to hand the cheque over to the farming couple.

"We meet Bob and Marilyn here tonight and they are just a great down to earth couple that is looking to retire as they are close to the end of their working days. They want to enjoy the rest of their lives here, do a little traveling to some hot spots, they have been supporters of our lotto for a long time and we definitely appreciate that from them."

Also getting their winnings this week was 23 staff members from Richardson Pioneer Humboldt, who split a cheque for $39,960.
