A young man wanting to make a difference in the life of many children, Duke Brochu, traveled to Ottawa and met with other youth wanting to make a difference.

Brochu went to Ottawa and met up with other other youths who traveled to Parliament Hill to speak to representatives in government about juvenile diabetes.

"We talked about our story of how we were diagnosed, what it is like being diagnosed, how our daily life is like being diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, and we asked them if they could join an all-party juvenile diabetes caucus or write to the Minister of Finance."

Brochu added, "It was really, really cool meeting them ... and they wanted to talk to us."

There will be a second annual Duke Skate-A-Thon on November 12th at the EPA between 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to come out and skate. You can also make a donation at the EPA or online here.
