Harvest continues to move along at a blazing pace, thanks to warm, dry weather.

Thirty-six percent of the 2017 crop is now in the bin in the Humboldt area, which is up from 14% combined a week ago.

Saskatchewan Agriculture's Weekly Crop Report notes that the five-year average for this time of year is 17% combined.

An additional 39% of the crop is swathed or ready to straight cut.

While the crop continues to come off at a quick pace, topsoil moisture conditions continue to remain low. Across the region, one percent is rated as surplus, 27% adequate, 35% short and 37% very short.

Provincially, 45% of the crop is in the bin with 28% swathed or ready to straight cut.

Harvest is furthest ahead in the southwest, which sits at 70% complete. The southeast region comes in at 60% combined, with the west-central at 44%, northwest at 18% and the northeast at 12%.

The report notes that rainfall in the province has been hard to come by across most regions. In the past week, 56 millimetres came down in the Langenburg area, while the next highest was just six millimetres in Nipawin.
