The LeRoy Daycare has been a work in progress and when they opened their doors for business on September 9, 2019 it was a marvellous day.

The daycare has been a project for around three years and being the recent winners of the Great 8 with Discover Humboldt/Bolt FM it gave them a financial boost; however, this is not the only financial boost the organization has received lately.

On September 24, 2019, BHP announced a donation to the project in the amount of $20,000.00. In a media release issued by BHP, they explain why the donation was presented to the LeRoy Daycare.

"The addition of this important amenity is important to the families of LeRoy and, as BHP continues to develop its Jansen Potash Project, about 140 kilometres east of the City of Saskatoon, the company hopes facilities such as these will also help attract the required workforce to the local area during potential mining operations at Jansen."

Kimberly Block the President of the Daycare stated,

"Our Daycare Board is so thankful to have a business, such as BHP in our community that cares about LeRoy and wants to make it even better. The donation we received from BHP is much appreciated and will go towards our renovation costs. We would not be where we are today without the support we received from BHP as well as many other local businesses in town. Thank-you!!”

The LeRoy daycare is one of only five in Saskatchewan that is a multigeneration daycare facility.
