29 students have received a scholarship boost towards their post-secondary education.

The students were announced on January 15th as a part of BHP's annual scholarship program in collaboration with Carlton Trail College.

Sixteen high school graduates and returning post-secondary students from 10 schools in the Horizon School Division were presented with scholarships, each with a value of $2,500. Along with those 16 students, 13 youth from six First Nations communities received scholarship awards totalling $35,000.

A committee from Carlton Trail College selects the students following an evaluation process and runs the scholarship program on BHP's behalf.

Over 135 students, since the program began in 2013, have received support through scholarships totalling over $387,000 from BHP.
