Struggle leads to perseverance, perseverance to character, and character to hope.

Beautiful Struggle is a performance put on by Legacy One that involves music, dance, spoken word, and multimedia all woven together to present the problems and solutions of angst we face every day. The performance was held at Humboldt Collegiate on Tuesday, October 9th in front of the student body and once again on Wednesday, October 10th for the public.

Colleen Pilgrim with Carlton Trail House of Prayer organized the event. She said, "It talks about the things that we go through as young people, the things that we go through as adults and the angst that we experience. The fact that every day is a day that we make decisions. It's a day where we can rise up and decide that it's gonna be a better day than yesterday, and try to make the most of it."

Legacy One is a group based out of Saskatoon. They have been together for around 10 years and their performance Beautiful Struggle was just created this year. The performance consists of only 4 people. 2 who perform and write the spoken word, 1 multimedia specialist and 1 music specialist. All 4 then contribute to the collaboration of the entire show.

The response from the school employees was very high regarding the performance put on for their students.

Pilgrim added, "They were so honored to be invited to Humboldt, to bring a message of hope and a message of light and share their stories," when talking about the 4 performers from Beautiful Struggle.
