After a lengthy two year and a half year investigation, arrests have been made and charges have been laid in connection to a meth lab near Strasbourg. 

Strasbourg RCMP received a complaint in May of 2013 from a resident who had found unusual containers and materials at an abandoned property near the town.

An extensive investigation and cleanup lead the mounties to materials known to be used in the production of illicit drugs and confirmed it to be a methamphetamine lab.

The RCMP Integrated Organized Crime Unit were able to link three adult males, Tyler William Young, Bradley Wesley Oxby, and Scott Riley Ping all of Regina to the meth site.

The men were arrested September 17th and were charged with conspiracy to produce, and traffic methamphetamine, conspiring to posses proceeds, the production of meth for the purpose of trafficking, possession of glassware, scientific equipment, precursors and chemicals to produce meth, and transport and posses precursors.

A court appearance is set for Friday morning in Regina Provincial court.

Young has been previously charged with fraud over $5,000, possession of property over $5,000 obtained obtained by crime, laundering proceeds of crime, forgery, uttering a forged document, identity theft, and identity fraud.

The charges were a result of a 2012 investigation after RCMP received a complaint of suspicious banking transactions.
