The request for proposal process has begun today for 20 Saskatchewan communities, including many local communities.

Foam Lake, Lanigan, Raymore, Watson, and Wynyard all have one opportunity each within their community for a private liquor store.

The Government of Saskatchewan says this is the fourth and final round of Request for Proposals as the transition to an expanded private liquor retail system takes place.

The private liquor retail system plan started in November of 2015, and also includes the conversion of 40 liquor stores from public to private.

Melfort will convert from public to private, as soon as their lease expires in 2019.

Deadline to apply for a request for proposal is September 13th, 2016.
