For the second year in a row, Sherri Usselman from Allan is hoping to land one of six roles in an internet show 'Extreme Huntress.'

The lone Saskatchewan contestant said the goal is to create positive role models for women who are interested in hunting.

"It's kind of just opening doors and bringing awareness that there is other women out there that are more than willing to take them hunting and get them set up and show them the ropes."

Usselman is currently at third place out of 14 in the online voting but is hoping for more votes from the public, if she can stay in the top 6 she will have better chances of being selected by a panel of judges.

Voting is open throughout the month of May and it is limited to one vote per person.

Votes for Usselman can be made by clicking here.

Once votes have been cast on the website an email will be sent to the voter which then must be confirmed before it is counted as official vote.

The hunting enthusiast explained what happens if she gets the call back, "if I get selected we head to Texas in July and there will be a skills competition along with hunting as well."

Every week there is a six to nine minute episode that's viewed online and then the viewers vote for who they think should have won each particular episode.

More from Usselman can be heard in her full interview with Bolt FM's Angie Dukart.
