A Calgary trucking company owner is facing charges after the Humboldt Broncos Bus Crash on April 6th. 

Sukhmander Singh, the owner of Adesh Deol Trucking, has not found a lawyer. Singh was represented by duty counsel today in court, who asked the case to be set over to November 30th.

The Humboldt Broncos bus collided with a semi owned by Adesh Deol Trucking at the intersection of Highways 35 and 335 in Saskatchewan and killed 16 people and injured 13 others.

Eight charges relating to non-compliance with various federal and provincial safety regulations are on the docket for Singh. These charges are as follows:

  • failing to maintain logs for drivers’ hours of service
  • failing to monitor the compliance of a driver under safety regulations 
  • having more than one daily log for any day

The case has been adjourned to November 30th, 2018.
