It could be a gusty day for central Saskatchewan.

Winds are expected to get up to 60 kilometers an hour and gusting up to 80 at some points throughout the next 24 hours in Humboldt and surrounding areas.

The wind is being caused by the unusually warm temperatures for this time of year. The high expected for the area is around 5 degrees Celsius when regularly the province sees temperatures around minus 11. The warm weather in Saskatchewan will be met by a cold front coming in from Alberta which will be passing through the southern part of the province.

"The wind is going to pick up quite quickly, If you have anything outside it will be blown around a little bit. We are not looking at a warning situation for the area, but it will be a very windy day," Said David Baggaley, a meteorologist with Environment Canada.

Along with the wind, the temperature will drop at a drastic rate as the wind should die down sometime Saturday night.
