As we near Streetfest's beginning Friday, one more local corporation has provided some sponsorship funding for the event.

Chair Alfred Washburn tells us who has jumped on board.

"I was at PotashCorp on Wednesday and they were kind enough to donate $1,000 towards our mulit-cultural stage which takes place on Saturday."

The multi-cultural stage is simply just that with different dances, music and shows from across the globe right here on Main Street.

That is only a small portion of the main stage entertainment. Beginning at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon Wyatt will perform to start the festival. They will be followed by Shandar Gray and Catch-22. Local favourites 40 oz. Philosophy take the stage later Friday night and set it up for Kelvington rockers No Fixed Address at 10 o'clock.

Saturday the vendors will be back out at 9:30, comic-con begins at 10am with the stage opening at noon with the multi-cultural portion, that concludes around 5pm.

Saturday's music line-up begins at 6pm with the Freakin' Awesome Country Band followed by Traveling Band, a tribute to CCR who closes the festival.

Aside from all the entertainment, Washburn says they have you covered with the food vendors as well.

"Mexican tacos, we have PJ Concessions which I believe is Filipino food, Good Ol' Fries the food truck will be there, the Windsor, the Pioneer Hotel will be downtown and the Vintage Club elephant ears as well."

Another night of headlining music was a big step for the committee organizing the event but they wanted to make sure it was still a family affair.

"This year we really tried to focus on some more kids' events," Washburn added. "One thing that we're really excited about is a rock climbing wall. It comes from a Tisdale bible camp and they have a huge rock climbing wall that is going to be real fun for a lot of fun for young kids and it's really for people of all ages."

A bike show and bouncy castles will be set up for the kids too.
