On Saturday from 8 AM - 2 PM the 10th Annual Lake Lenore Lions Club Ice Fishing Derby took place at Lung's Beach.

657 people came out with their fishing shacks for a chance to win $25,000 in prizes, including $10,000 for whoever caught the largest fish.

Despite the cold weather, the attendance topped the yearly average. Here is who won the prizes:

60 fish caught: 53 northern pikes, 6 walleye, 1 perch

 First and second was a tie so the $10000 was added to the second place prize of $4118,28 and split at $7059.14.

There were 16 major prize draws that were drawn at random plus an extra prize was drawn for those you caught a fish.
 
Over the 10 year history of the derby, a total $110,000 has been raised. All proceeds will be donated back Lake Lenore or various other charities or causes that the Lions Club support.
