The Young Guys have evened up the series for the Humboldt Golf Club's annual Ryder Cup style tournament.

Known as the Campbell Cup, the event was held on Saturday, August 20.

Twenty-four golfers combined to represent both young and old, with the elderly gentlemen looking to defend their crown from the year prior.

It wasn't meant to be, however, as the Young Guys won their first Campbell Cup, outscoring the Old Guys 13.5 to 10.5.

Points are awarded based on a match play format, similar to the PGA Tour's bi-annual USA vs Europe tournament.

Kevin Daikow, Lonnie Gobeil and Greig Frostad led the way in points for the Young Guys, with Carlisle Scott and David Guilbault scoring the most points for the Old Guys.

Individual hole winners were Dennis Klimosko for long putt on Hole 18. Jackson Hill took the longest drive on Hole 9, while Greig Frostad was closest to the pin on Hole 15.

The next event at the HGC is the Labour Day Team Match Play, which is held September 3-4.
