The Bantam AA Broncos bounced back from a tough Saturday game to split their weekend with a 7-3 win over the Saskatoon Generals on Sunday.

Kaiden Korolchuk got the home team out to a 1-0 lead through the first period.

The second period saw a more back and forth offensive game, as the Generals tied the game 1-1 early into the middle frame.

Humboldt replied with two goals, as Luke Stadnyk and Easton Ediger found the back of the net to make it 3-1.

The Generals came charging back with a pair of goals in 57 seconds to even the game 3-3 through two periods.

In the final period, it was all Humboldt, as the Broncos scored four goals, including two more from Ediger to complete the hat trick.

Kylynn Olafson and Dawson Barlage had the other tallies for the Broncos, while Brody Ackland earned the win in goal.

On Saturday, the Broncos lost 11-2 to Martensville.

With the weekend split, Humboldt is now 14-5-2 on the season - one point out of third place, and nine back of top spot in the division.

The team will be off from SBAAHL play for two weeks, hosting the Regina Aces and Saskatoon Stallions on January 20 and 21.
