A strong first half to his junior hockey debut has led to another invite for Jacob Wassermann.

Earlier this month, Wassermann attended Canada West's selection camp for the World Junior A Challenge. Although he was disappointed to be sent home, the Humboldt product will be off on another trip in January.

Wassermann has been selected to play in the Canada Junior Hockey League's Top Prospects game.

The 17-year-old will be one of just two players to represent the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, joining Flin Flon's Chrystopher Collin.

After returning from training camp with the WHL's Vancouver Giants, Wassermann immediately helped make an impact for the Broncos, winning his first start of the season.

Through 22 games, the now Regina Pats prospect has 12 wins, coupled with a 2.53 goals-against-average and a .911 save percentage.

Wassermann's rights were acquired by the Pats in a trade on September 14.

The Top Prospects game takes place January 23 in Mississauga, Ontario, and puts the spotlight on the top 40 CJHL prospects.
