For the second time in ten days, Humboldt's Tayden Wallin has found success at the Chinook Golf Course in Swift Current.

Wallin bounced back from a tough first round on Monday to capture the 91st Golf Saskatchewan Junior Men's Championship with a score of 2-under.

The recent graduate of Humboldt Collegiate Institute posted a 3-over, 75, in his first round of play, but charged back to the top of the leaderboard with a 69 in round two on Tuesday.

Wallin took the tournament by three strokes over Roman Timmerman of Saskatoon, who finished at 1-over.

Just ten days ago, on July 2, Wallin won his first event of the summer at Chinook, taking a Maple Leaf Junior Tour event.

For Wallin, it adds another piece to his outstanding junior resumé, to go along with a high school championship and Saskatchewan Summer Games gold, which he won last July.

He is the first Humboldt golfer to win the event since John Heffernan won back-to-back championships in 1994 and 1995.

Wallin will represent Saskatchewan at the Canadian Championship, which takes place July 31 to August 3 at Cataraqui Country Club in Kingston, Ontario.
