The Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association volleyball playoffs started on November 3rd with Conference playdowns.

Wynyard Composite High School hosted the 3A Girls East Region 2 Conference finals that consisted of 5 teams from Horizon School Division. Wakaw, Lanigan, Punnichy, Watrous, and Wynyard battled it out with the top 2 teams heading to Regionals.

Wakaw, coached by Amanda and Luke Strueby, went undefeated through the day to be crowned conference champs and punch their ticket to Regionals. In the final match of the day, Wynyard, coached by Tessa Jordan and Richard Rink, defeated Lanigan, coached by Lindi Stroeder, to clinch second place and secure their spot in Regionals.

Regionals will be hosted in Wakaw on November 10, 2018. Joining Wakaw and Wynyard at Regionals are Foam Lake, Preeceville, Carrot River, and Creighton. The top three teams will advance to 3A Girls Provincials hosted by Carrot River on November 15th and 16th.
