For the first time this season, the Midget AA Broncos lost a game in regulation.

Hosting the Unity Lazers on Sunday in a battle of top teams in the Centre Four Hockey League, the game lived up to the billing.

Unity found the scoreboard first late in the first period to take a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

A flurry of goals occurred in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd period. Humboldt tied the game off the stick of Maguire Scheidt just under five minutes in to period two.

Seven seconds later, Unity re-took the lead, before the Broncos once again tied the game up on a power play marker from Damon Vanderlinde.

Humboldt moved in front early in the third period when Prescot Senger found the back of the net.

A late surge from Unity saw them score a pair of goals in the final three minutes to skate away with a 4-3 win.

Ryland Pronych faced 48 shots in goal for the Broncos, who travel to Martensville on November 20 for their next game.

The next home game for Humboldt is November 26 against the Saskatoon Icehawks. That game will be played in LeRoy.
