The Under-14 Boys Humboldt Hurricanes soccer team came home with Gold on Sunday, after they won the Lakewood Kickstart tournament in Saskatoon.

A three day event, the Hurricanes downed the Kindersley Storm 6-5 on Friday afternoon.

From there, they defeated the Lakewood Cyclones on Saturday afternoon 3-2, setting up a first place battle with the Lakewood Thunder. Humboldt was unable to find the net in the game, dropping a 1-0 decision, and finishing second in the round robin standings.

With the top two teams moving on to the final, it was a rematch on Sunday, as the Hurricanes proved mightier in the mixture of weather patterns, shutting out the Thunder 4-0.

The Under-16 Girls Hurricanes were also at the tournament, but they weren't as fortunate, dropping all three games, falling 2-0 to Lakewood United, 3-1 to Nation Son Assault, and 5-0 to the Fury.
