There is more hardware being added to the collective haul for the Under-14 Humboldt Hurricanes soccer team.

The team lit up the scoreboard over two days and shut the door defensively to claim the title at Saskatoon's SUSC Tournament.

Sunday morning the Hurricanes started off with a 10-0 win over Hollandia Regunath. They capped off day one by taking a 3-1 win over the SUSC Warriors.

That set the table for a first place showdown against Eastside Synergy Monday morning with the winner advancing to the final.

A tightly contested defensive battle saw the Hurricanes take a 2-1 win, vaulting them to the championship.

After getting out to a 3-0 lead at the break against Kindersley, the Hurricanes added one more goal in the second half to earn a 4-0 win and the gold medal.

Up next for the U14 team is provincials, which will take place February 26-28 in Regina.
