Another weekend of soccer has led to more hardware being brought home for Humboldt's youth soccer teams.

The Under-14 Humboldt Hurricanes won the Hollandia Cup in their division, running a 4-0 record en route to the championship.

They began their tournament run Friday evening with a 5-0 shutout of Hollandia Regunath.

In the four game round robin only set-up, every game was as crucial as the next, and the Hurricanes were able to edge Hollandia Tapia 3-2 in their next game on Saturday.

A pair of games Sunday saw the Hurricanes close out their unblemished record, shutting out Eastside Black 2-0, before defeating Battlefords Santos 7-1 in their final game.

The Under-16 Hurricanes, who play in the Saskatoon Youth Outdoor Soccer League, were also taking part in the Hollandia Cup.

They also got off to a good start, blanking QC United 4-0 on Friday night.

Their next game was a 4-1 win over Native Sons Ultra before cruising past Northern Internazionale from Melfort by a 9-0 margin.

A perfect round robin standing put them into the final against the host Hollandia Nimegeers.

With both sides scoring one goal in regulation, extra time was required, and it was the Nimegeers finding the back of the net on the golden goal.

The U16's resume their league schedule on Wednesday when they meet Aurora Elite. Through five games, they have a 3-2 record.
