Some of the top youth curling teams around the area came to the Humboldt Curling Club for a two-day event, as they held the Tim Hortons Youth Spiel.

Twelve teams in total - six 15 and under, as well as six 18 and under teams competed in a five game round robin.

In the Under 15 event, Team Drewitz out of Saskatoon sailed through the competition, posting a perfect 5-0 record.

A pair of 3-1 teams squared off for the silver medal on Sunday afternoon.

Nathan Tremblay's Humboldt rink battled Team Kotelnikoff out of Saskatoon. Tremblay's team was able to come away with a 7-4 victory, securing the second place standing.

Rounding out the standings, it was Team Schick coming in fourth at 2-3. Team Tessier out of Humboldt finished in fifth with a record of 1-4, while Team Harcourt came in sixth spot with a 0-5 standing.

For the Under 18 tournament, it was a chaotic finish that saw five of the six teams end the tournament tied at 3-2.

Team Thevenot out of Saskatoon entered the day as the lone unbeaten at 3-0, but lost both games on the day to take a share of the top spot.

Along with Thevenot, fellow Saskatoon team Seidel, Sutherland out of Rosetown, as well as teams Pomrenke and Grondahl from Assiniboia rounded out the five stack locked at the top.

Team Crone finished the tournament at 0-5.
