Track and field power couple Brianne Theisen-Eaton and Ashton Eaton will take to the stage Friday at the International Association of Athletic Federations 2016 World Indoor Championships.

The event will be in Portland, Oregon beginning on Thursday.

The venue will be quite familiar to Humboldt's Theisen-Eaton and world record holding decathlete Ashton Eaton who is from Oregon, the two met while attending the University of Oregon.

Theisen-Eaton will look to improve on her silver medal from the 2014 IAAF Indoor Championships.

The 27 year-old will begin her pentathlon competition on Friday at 12:15 local time. The 60 metre hurdles are the first of five events.

The high jump begins at 1:15 followed quickly by the shot put event. They will have a break before the final two events.

At 6:15 they will compete in long jump, the 800 metre will conclude the competition at 9:10.

Eaton's men's heptathlon event will run over two days but it also begins Friday.

They will begin with the 60 metre dash, that's a 12:30 start.

The men's long jump begins at 1:20, the high jump is scheduled for 5:45, day one will close with the high jump at 6:15.

Day two begins with the 60 metre hurdles at 12pm Saturday, the pole vault begins an hour later at 1pm followed by the 1000 metre at 8:35 to wrap up their seven competitions.

He is the reigning Indoor world title holder.
