Following a first place round robin finish, Delores Syrota and her Wadena based curling team came up one end short of a Senior Women's Provincial title.

Syrota's team, who lost their first two games before winning five straight, advanced straight to Sunday's final in Tisdale as the top team through the round robin.

In the final game, they bumped into defending champion Sherry Anderson, who opened the tournament with an 8-5 win over Syrota.

Syrota led 3-2 through six ends, as the two teams exchanged singles through ends two to six.

In the 7th end, Anderson scored two to move into a 4-3 lead.

The 8th end saw the 2018 Saskatchewan Scotties winner steal two more points for the win, and her third straight senior title.

It's a quick turnaround for Syrota and her team of Bev Kraskowski, Donna Liebrecht, and Sylvia Broad, as they take part in the provincial Master's starting Wednesday in Saskatoon.

They are defending provincial and national champions of the 60+ event.
