Strasbourg won the day on Wednesday, as Humboldt played host to Track and Field Districts in the Horizon Central Athletic Association.

The Vikings tallied 900 points to claim the overall title, edging out Humboldt Collegiate Institute, who finished in second with 850.50 points. Lake Lenore took third place with 665 points, with Wynyard and Muenster rounding out the top five.

Athletes received a certain amount of points based on their overall finish in each event, which get added up to determine individual aggregate winners.

The Senior Girls champion was Lake Lenore's Beth Prodahl, who earned the title for a second straight year. Kyle Wehage of Middle Lake was the Senior Boys winner. In Junior Girls, Annaheim's Lily Yungmann finished in first. The Junior Boys champion was split between Brayden Mytopher of Strasbourg and Landon Kohle from Cudworth, who both finished with 56 points.

Strasbourg's Alyson Edwards took home her second straight Midget Girls title, while Masson Altrogge from Middle Lake also won a second consecutive year. Last year he took the Bantam Boys title, and this year won Midget Boys. Jade Smith of Lake Lenore was the Bantam Girls winner, with Cody Bergermann from St. Augustine in Humboldt taking the Boys side. In Peewee, Wynyard's Jesslyn Liebel and Adam Mytopher of Strasbourg were the champions.

The top two finishers in each Senior, Junior and Midget event qualified for provincials, which will be held in Saskatoon on June 3rd and 4th. Bantam and Peewee participants are ineligible for provincials.
