Generals vs. Generals in a winner-takes-all situation.

Lacombe scored first in the final game of the Allan Cup 2018. The battle of the Generals started with a 1 - 0 lead for the Alberta side 3 minutes into the game. Ontario was represented by the Stoney Creek Generals, who got there by beating out a very good Manitoba team, the South East Prairie Thunder.

The score was 3-1 after the first for the Generals... Stoney Creek that is. They scored three unanswered goals and looked to hold on to that lead for the rest of the game. Lacombe struck back halfway through the 2nd. 3 - 2. Lacombe scores again and it was tied 3 - 3 after 40 minutes.

34 seconds into the third frame and Lacombe (affectionately known as the "Army" to their legion of fans) makes it 4 - 3. Stoney Creek answers back 5 minutes later to make it 4 - 4.

Stoney Creek Generals show off some powerful offence and manage to score 2 quick goals in the third period to make it a 5 - 4 game.

They cap it off with a couple of empty netters. The final score, 7 - 4. Ontario wins. The Stoney Creek Generals take home the oldest cup in Senior Hockey.

The Allan Cup will go back to Ontario for the 17th time. It has gone to BC and Manitoba a dozen times. Saskatchewan only has 4 victories and fell short again despite having two teams in the tournament.
