Flin Flon Bombers defenceman and St. Brieux product Cory Thomas will attend the University of Vermont and continue his hockey career.

The 1998 born rearguard played his AAA Midget hockey with the Tisdale Trojans before the joining the Bombers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League as a 17 year-old.

He put up two goals and eight assists in 49 games this year, he has dressed in five post season games chipping in with a helper.

The 19 year-old was also a member of Team Canada West at the World Junior "A" Challenge in Bonnyville this winter.

His commitment is for the 2018-19 season.

Speaking of the Bombers, they host Nipawin Friday night for their semi-final series, the Stars host Estevan in game one in the Battlefords also on Friday.
