Junior golfers in the Horizon Central Athletic Association hit the links on Thursday for pre-districts.

Two tournaments were held, with one in St. Brieux and the other at LeRoy.

In St. Brieux, it was Ky Olafson of Lanigan earning the top spot, with a 47 over nine holes. Rounding out the top three was Luke Scutchings of Kelvington and Annaheim's Ben Yungmann.

On the girls side, Hailey Chegus of Quill Lake School won by five strokes over Lanigan's Emily Reimer and Cassidy Klapak.

In LeRoy, it was Devdan Chegus from Watson School win by one stroke over Carter Timmerman of LeRoy. In third place with Jordan Hart from Wadena.

Jensen Kelly of Imperial School won the girls competition, with Olivia McGrath from LeRoy and Wadena's Brooke McMartin also advancing to districts.

The top 12 golfers, including ties, advance to districts, which are in LeRoy on Tuesday, September 19.
