Humboldt, Foam Lake and Lanigan were the sites of pre-district curling on Monday, as the early field gets narrowed down on the road to provincials.

At the Humboldt Curling Club, it was a pair of HCI boys teams in the final.

Braden Fleischhacker's team of Adam Eichorst, Ayden Frank and Ashley Frank topped Nathan Tremblay's foursome of Carter Tarnowski, Cole Painter and Landon Tessier.

Tremblay's rink qualified for districts through the 'B' side, defeating Wakaw.

Foam Lake and Strasbourg won the 'A' side in the other brackets, while Muenster and Lanigan picked up the 'B'.

In the girls draw at the HCC, Quill Lake downed Cudworth to become the first qualifier. Wakaw then defeated Cudworth to pick up the second spot.

Wadena knocked off Muenster in the 'A' side in Foam Lake, while the host Panthers secured the second spot, defeating Muenster in the 'B' final.

In Lanigan, it was Ituna over Lanigan in the 'A' final, with the host team bouncing back in the 'B' side, defeating Watrous to move on.

Four mixed teams are through, with Englefeld #1 claiming the first spot in Humboldt, defeating HCI. Englefeld #2 then knocked off HCI in the 'B' final, however the Mohawks will take the spot in Wadena at districts.

Jenna Hofmann, Cole Bells, Shyanna Reich and Brody Hinz make up that foursome.

Out of Lanigan, it was Strasbourg and Ituna advancing.

Districts begin Friday, with the top two teams qualifying to regionals, which are March 3-4 in Prince Albert and Candle Lake.
