Five goals on the power play helped the Midget AA Broncos to a win Saturday night in Saskatoon.

Taking on the Screaming Eagles, the Broncos power play unit was clicking on all cylinders, scoring five goals on six extra man situations.

The strong effort on the man advantage earned them a 7-4 win.

Gavin Ingram had a hat trick in the game, while Damon Vanderlinde added two goals. Carter Sawchuk and Skylan Wallin contributed the other tallies.

Ryland Pronych improved his record to 7-3 with the win in goal.

On Sunday, the Broncos returned to Saskatoon to meet the Sabercats, eeking out a 4-3 win.

Wallin had two goals for Humboldt, with Vanderlinde and Kody Perlett scoring one goal each.

Dawson Cochrane picked up his 10th win of the season in net.

With the two wins, the Broncos are now 17-5-1 on the year. Their 35 points are third overall in the Centre Four Hockey League standings.

Humboldt visits Prince Albert on February 6 for their next game in a battle of second against third.

They close out the regular season at Beardy's on February 11, and Saskatoon on February 13.
