The Pee Wee Humboldt Broncos fought hard but ultimately were handed a 5-3 defeat from the Prince Albert Gene's Cycle Knights.

The Broncos were inside the Elgar Petersen Arena hosting the Knights and the teams took a scoreless tie into the dressing room after 20 minutes. In the second frame, the Knights grabbed an early two-goal lead. The Broncos and Knights would then alternate goals with Thomas Ries scoring both for the Broncos that wrapped up the first 40 minutes with a 4-2 Knights lead. The Broncos weren't able to get any closer in the third as both teams scored a goal, Ben Hoppe providing the Broncos tally, and the Knights went on the defeat the Broncos 5-3. Brady Holtvodgt got the start in net for the Broncos.

The Broncos will seek out revenge against the Knights when both teams are back on the ice on January 26th, once again at the Elgar Petersen Arena.
