The Humboldt Broncos were riding a four game losing skid heading into Tuesday's home game versus LaRonge, thanks to a special offensive night from their top blueliner a fifth loss was not likely to happen.

20 year-old defenseman Greg Moro scored in every period to lead the Broncos to a 4-1 win over the Ice Wolves to improve their record to 4-5-2 for 10 points.

The Edmonton product slapped his first past Dakota Kenyon on the power-play in the first period giving Humboldt a 1-0 lead. Jarrett Fontaine and Josh Bergen picked up the assists.

Rookie winger Andrew Thompson extended the lead to 2-0 before the first was out, Corey Dambrauskas earned the lone assist on Thompson's second of the year, which also came via the power-play.

Moro added his second rifling a wrist shot past Kenyon after he was left win an open lane to the net from the corner at the 12:59 mark of the period. Fontaine and Thompson each picked up their second points of the game on the goal.

Taking a 3-0 lead into the third the Broncos allowed the Wolves to stay in it with a late power-play tally, what that goal did do was make sure Shawn Martin pulled his goaltender for an extra attacker then with just 10 seconds left Moro fired his third into the yawning cage from the red line to seal the Humboldt victory.

"There was a little pressure, the guys were bugging me about it a lot through out the intermission and that kind of one a period type thing," he joked after the game. "The pressure was definitely there but I was just trying to just get that win for the most part."

Despite the memorable night for Moro, he knows that was a big win.

"Yeah for sure, we were kind of slipping a little bit. The guys were working hard but things just weren't going our way. It was nice to get a few bounces tonight and take a step in the right direction."

The Broncos won the special team battle, they were 2/6 with the man advantage, LaRonge finished 1/7.

The victory ties the season series between the two clubs, LaRonge downed the Broncos 6-2 late last month. Moro admitted they wanted to retribute that outcome a little bit.

"The vibes were pretty good tonight, I think we were confident the whole way. We owed them one, they pumped us in their home barn, we owed them one back, that was our mindset the whole time."

Brett Clark won his fourth game making 30 saves on 31 shots in the Bronco net, Kenyon finished 34/37.

Humboldt now gets set to meet the Battlefords North Stars on the road Friday.  The pre-game show of KMK Sales Broncos' Hockey begins at 7:15, puck drop is 7:30.
