The HCI Mohawk football team got off to a great start today easily cruising past Tisdale 59-15.

Tyson Hergott scored two touchdowns, Jayden Huls also hit pay dirt twice, also with TD's was Landon Seipp, Zidan Buslig, Max Dale and Hayden Reeme.

Seipp said it was solid way to begin the campaign.

"It felt great just to get back on the field again and get used to hitting guys again. Our team worked really well together."

He added that it was good to get some young guys some early season playing time.

"The win just gives us confidence down the road and in the future too, it gives our young guys an opportunity to play."

The Mohawks added a rouge as well as a safety and a blocked punt by Seipp. His touchdown was an interception return early in the third quarter to make it 32-9.

The quarterly scores were 9-0; 18-9 and 46-9.

The Mohawks will put their 1-0 record on the line Friday at 4pm versus Clavet at Glenn Hall Park.
