The Broncos were sent a little message Sunday afternoon courtesy of the Melville Millionaires.

Three quick goals in the first frame set the Mils up to skate to a 3-1 win over the Broncos in the opening contest of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's annual Showcase in Warman.

That holds their early season record at 4-1 heading into Monday morning's showdown with the Estevan Bruins. Face-off is 11am.

Scoring the lone Humboldt goal was Stephan Wack, the 19 year-old defenseman closed the gap to 3-1 early in the second but that's where the scoring stopped.

Jackson Nauss, Drew Litwin and Jake Sutton all beat Garrett Mason in the first frame. Brandon Wells was key in the Melville win, he stopped 35/36 Humboldt chances. Mason turned aside 27 in his first loss of the season.

The Broncos were 0/3 with the power-play, the Mils scored once in five opportunities.
