Humboldt's Midget AA hockey team is headed to the playoffs on a winning note.

The Broncos were in Saskatoon for their final regular season on Tuesday, taking on the Icehawks.

It was an offensive explosion for Humboldt, who registered 67 shots on goal in a 6-2 win.

Damon Vanderlinde and Prescot Senger each had two goals, while Maguire Scheidt and Skylar Wallin contributed the other tallies.

Ryland Pronych secured the win in goal for the Broncos, who finished the regular season with a record of 18-7-1.

The Broncos will finish either fourth or fifth in the overall standings and meet Unity in the first round of the playoffs.

If the Lazers win their final game on Friday, Unity will secure home ice. If they lose, home ice will go Humboldt's direction.
