Kody Perlett scored 50 seconds into overtime, as the Midget AA Broncos downed the Saskatoon Riverkings 4-3 on Thursday night.

Humboldt fell into an early hole, giving up the game's first goal 1:09 into the game. Saskatoon took a 2-0 lead with 11 minutes left in the period.

Leading scorer Damon Vanderlinde provided the Broncos with a spark late in the period, scoring on a five minute penalty kill.

The Riverkings would reinstate their two goal edge with just over four minutes remaining in the second period. The Broncos replied 14 seconds later on a goal from Maguire Scheidt.

Logan Stumborg tied the game early in the third period, with the two teams remaining deadlocked through the final 18 minutes of regulation before Perlett ended the game in the extra session.

Starting goaltender Dawson Cochrane was credited with 31 saves in his third win of the year.

The Broncos are now 6-0-1 to start the season - second behind Prince Albert, who has played one more game. Humboldt's next game is November 12 at home to Unity.
